About the Role

Vanguard's Cloud Infrastructure Operations team is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our Azure Cloud infrastructure, as well as on-premise Windows Server Operating Systems, Compute, and Storage. We are seeking a skilled platform engineer to join our team and contribute to the evaluation of infrastructure cloud readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor, manage, and maintain Windows, Compute, Storage, and Azure resources.
  • Contribute strategically to the evaluation of infrastructure cloud readiness.
  • Administer systems by actively managing patching, routine maintenance, and backups, including the scheduling and execution of related tasks.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical knowledge of software and infrastructure platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and drive platform improvements.
  • Provide intermediate-level technical support for small to mid-size projects.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years of overall IT experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud administration/operations.
  • Azure Administrator certification.
  • Experience with Microsoft products, including Active Directory, SQL, SCCM, DFS, and FTP.
  • Converged Infrastructure experience.
  • Strong experience in scripting languages, such as PowerShell and Terraform, for automation/administrative purposes.
  • Understanding of cross-platform (Windows and Linux) systems within an enterprise environment, preferably Windows.
  • Must be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills, complementing a passion for learning/sharing information from and with peers.
