About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for surgical procedures.
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon, maintaining a high level of asepsis and attention to detail.
  • Assist the surgeon and other members of the perioperative team as needed, demonstrating a strong understanding of surgical procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a Surgical Technology program or accredited LVN/LPN program required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a surgical setting preferred.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Certification of Surgical Technologist from The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting within 180 days of graduation or LVN/LPN License required.
