Position Overview:
Apollo Inc is seeking a Reliability Engineer to continuously assess and evaluate the reliability of aircraft and components. This role involves reporting reliability metrics to management, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM), and regulatory authorities as required, while driving improvements in reliability performance through established methods and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct all tasks safely and efficiently, adhering to local, state, and federal safety regulations, as well as internal policies.
- Continuously review and evaluate reliability and alert levels to identify trends that support company objectives.
- Oversee the collection and analysis of daily aircraft and maintenance performance data for trend evaluation.
- Analyze complex data sets to support investment decisions in corrective actions.
- Prepare and present findings at the monthly Reliability Control Board (RCB) meetings.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of Maintenance Programs in maintaining mechanical dispatch reliability.
- Establish and utilize reliability target KPIs to recommend performance improvements.
- Monitor significant aircraft defects and highlight trends to identify root causes.
- Lead root cause analysis activities and provide actionable recommendations based on data.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for reliability performance improvements.
- Promote a culture of preventive and predictive maintenance using advanced monitoring tools.
- Audit daily logs and maintenance discrepancies for accuracy.
- Submit necessary reports to regulatory authorities regarding fleet anomalies.
- Mentor and train team members on reliability processes and initiatives.
- Analyze performance deterioration of components using qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Prepare and analyze reliability trend charts and reports.
- Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEA) to identify potential failure modes.
- Work closely with OEMs and vendors for benchmarking and performance enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Understanding of aircraft systems and typical failure modes.
- Experience in reliability monitoring and failure mode assessment.
- Proficient in KPI development and reliability forecasting.
- Familiarity with FAA regulatory requirements.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field with hands-on experience in Reliability Engineering.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS) and data analysis tools.
