About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Mechanical Engineer - Electro-Optical Systems Specialist. You will be responsible for designing and analyzing component designs and mounting provisions for various devices, focusing on precise optical elements and subassemblies, and working on Fire Control sensors including Hand Controllers, Gyros, Accelerometers, Periscopes, Auxiliary sights, Muzzle reference sensors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and analyze component designs and mounting provisions for various devices.
  • Focusing on mounting precise optical elements and subassemblies.
  • Develop electro-mechanical mechanisms used in sighting systems.
  • Work on Fire Control sensors including Hand Controllers, Gyros, Accelerometers, Periscopes, Auxiliary sights, Muzzle reference sensors.
  • Evaluate designs to ensure they meet vehicle performance requirements including human factors, safety, environmental, and mine blast requirements.
  • Conduct material selection/analysis for commercial and military Electro-Optical system components.
  • Perform detailed design of Electro-Optical custom components.
  • Analyze the impact of modifying coatings and opto-mechanical features on performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with Solid modeling using NX and Creo.
  • Teamcenter and Vis Mockup experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong understanding of electro-optical systems and components.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compensation

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $40.00 to $60.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
