Interventional Radiology Nurse Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Interventional Radiology team at the Public Health Trust of Dade Co. As an Interventional Radiology Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional results.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices. You will work closely with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Your expertise will include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, as well as documentation and communication.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing and implementing effective care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Monitor and document patient progress, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for enhanced care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess:
- A valid Florida RN license and current certification in BLS (Basic Life Support) or ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support).
- 1-3 years of experience in interventional radiology or a related field, with a strong understanding of nursing principles and practices.
- An Associate's degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions
This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting, with occasional exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and medicinal preparations. You must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when exposed to infectious environments. Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on your experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
