We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Massachusetts General Hospital. About the Role

The Interventional Radiologic Technologist will be responsible for operating complex diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment, ensuring patient safety and comfort during procedures, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate complex diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment, including fluoroscopy and ultrasound devices.
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, including proper positioning and immobilization.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Participate in IR procedures, including cross-training and supporting sub-specialties within IR.
  • Maintain aseptic conditions and follow infection control policies and procedures.
  • Support physician staff in handling and management of labs and specimens obtained during IR procedures.
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and replenishing medical supplies.
  • Perform post-processing of images and send them to PACS.
  • Ensure availability of previous imaging as needed for procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient information and procedures.
Requirements
  • Radiography RT license in the state of MA.
  • ARRT certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Radiography experience.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds independently and push a stretcher with a patient weighing 250 pounds independently.
  • Exposure to radiation during fluoroscopic procedures, provided with proper-fitting lead.
  • Proper use of PPE required.
  • Exposure to blood and other bodily fluids, waste products, and infectious diseases and viruses.
