Compensation and BenefitsWe offer competitive above-average compensation for our Independent Contractors, allowing you to earn a salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on your experience and location. Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapy Assistant plays a vital role in delivering quality patient care, working closely with the Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing services defined by state laws governing the practice of a Physical Therapy Assistant, in accordance with the plan of care and in coordination with other members of the healthcare team.
- Helping patients use therapeutic, creative, and self-care activities to improve functioning and safety.
- Observing, recording, and reporting patient responses to treatment and changes in their condition.
- Instructing patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team on areas of therapy where they can participate in assisting the patient.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ability and enthusiasm in working with all ages.
- A Physical Therapy Assistant license and registration by the state.
- Completion of a Physical Therapy Assistant curriculum approved by The American Physical Therapy Association, The Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or The Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
