Job Summary

Mercy General Hospital is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team as a Hand Therapy Specialist. As a key member of our Outpatient Rehabilitation department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with hand and upper limb injuries.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat patients with hand and upper limb injuries, including fractures, tendon repairs, and nerve damage
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote optimal recovery and function
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct patient education and training on proper hand and upper limb care and use
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including progress notes and treatment plans
Requirements
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of practice
  • Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
