Diagnostic Imaging Assistant/Technician

This is a full-time position, 32-40 hours/week, 4 ten hour days with rotating weekends and holidays and evenings. We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging assistant or Certified Veterinary Technician who is interested in Diagnostic Imaging in our AAHA standard hospital.

Angell, founded in 1915, is recognized internationally as a leader in animal medicine and has the reputation as one of the finest veterinary teaching hospitals in North America. We serve the greater Boston and scenic New England area as a primary care facility, a 24-hour emergency hospital, and as a tertiary referral center.

The Position

As a Diagnostic Imaging Assistant/Technician, you will provide Angell clientele with high quality, AAHA standard, diagnostic imaging and related department services. Your responsibilities will include accurate record keeping in the EMR and PACS systems, clerical work, and patient care modeled after the values of the MSPCA. You will work with Visual arts/graphic imaging and have a passion for animals.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you need to have basic knowledge of diagnostic imaging tests, procedures, protocols, medical terminology, at least 1 year of professional animal handling, and anatomy and math skills. Please detail your professional animal handling skills in your cover letter.
