We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Hoshizaki America. As a Fabricator, you will be responsible for performing routine and repetitive fabrication tasks using a variety of hand tools to cut, bend, form, and shape sheet-metal and/or plastic parts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Shake out and/or deburr sheet metal parts.
  • Rivet, spot weld, or solder pieces together to fabricate material.
  • Fabricate electrical parts, components, and/or systems from raw materials.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and identify/report potential hazards to management.
  • Fabricate materials and parts while maintaining quality standards to avoid defects and rework.
  • Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
  • Interpret existing blueprints and program machinery.
  • Perform preventive maintenance as required on machinery/equipment.
  • Operate all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment.
  • Fabricate finished parts and complex assemblies to specifications.
  • Perform complex repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment.
  • Offset and/or avoid problems caused from welding, including material distortion and warping.
  • Provide assistance to lower-level operators.
Requirements:
  • Ability to use hand/power tools and other special equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and perform standard assembly-related tasks.
  • Manual dexterity and the ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and written work instructions.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in fabrication/sheet metal.
  • Ability to recognize quality problems with materials and work in process.
  • Advanced shop skills and equipment operation knowledge.
Physical Requirements:
  • Works predominantly on the manufacturing floor. May be exposed to heat, electrical and mechanical hazards, noise, solvents, dust, dirt, fumes, contaminants, cold, noise, vibration, etc.
  • Climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, and ability to move material weighing up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to perform basic preventive maintenance tasks on tools and equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, gas torches, and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and use measuring equipment.
  • Requires standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Must be able to walk and use hands.
  • Ability to read, write, listen, and speak.
