About the Position
We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our team at Splendido, a luxury life plan community in Oro Valley, Arizona.
Job Summary: The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain an attractive, clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This involves performing various tasks related to housekeeping services, including sanitizing, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal.
Essential Functions:
- Perform daily housekeeping services to maintain cleanliness and safety of resident rooms/homes and common areas.
- Frequent contact with residents, resident pets, other employees, and visitors.
- Sanitize, vacuum, dust, and perform trash removal, and maintain a clean, stocked housekeeping cart and closet.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with housekeeping management.
- Competently operate various types of cleaning equipment, both mechanical and electrical.
- Change bed linens according to established standards.
- Maintain knowledge of infection control policies and procedures.
- Recognize and promptly report maintenance problems and unsafe acts or conditions.
- Notify supervisor when supplies are low and demonstrate responsibility for conservation of supplies, chemicals, equipment, and utilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and follow instructions to complete routine tasks and communicate in a friendly and responsive manner. A high school diploma or equivalent, and previous housekeeping experience are also preferred.
Working Conditions:
This position involves primarily medium work, frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 pounds.
