Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and sustain embedded software for critical military and commercial aviation systems.
- Employ embedded operating systems, C/C++ programming, networking protocols, and hardware interface tools to innovate and enhance product offerings.
- Define software requirements, implement solutions, and establish testing protocols to ensure compliance with certification standards.
- Oversee technical, scheduling, and budgetary aspects of project tasks while supporting team members in their execution.
- Contribute to project planning, including task estimation, dependency management, and risk assessment.
- Lead a multidisciplinary engineering team by organizing workflows, facilitating communication, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Essential Qualifications:
- A degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 5 years of experience, or 12 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- U.S. Person status as defined by applicable regulations.
- Proven ability to analyze complex issues, assess alternatives, and devise effective solutions for software operating in real-time environments.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with effective presentation capabilities.
- Experience in C/C++ programming within an embedded operating system environment.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in the design and development of engineering solutions.
