About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Caregiver to join our team at Heartland Hospice. As a Hospice Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to patients and their families during some of life's most challenging times.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming, while promoting independence and dignity.
  • Maintain a Safe Environment: Ensure the patient's home is safe and free from hazards, making adjustments as needed to prevent falls and accidents.
  • Assist with Light Housekeeping: Help with laundry, cleaning, and organizing the patient's living space, creating a comfortable and peaceful environment.
  • Support Emotional Well-being: Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, helping them cope with the challenges of terminal illness or serious health conditions.
Requirements
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License: A valid CNA license is required for this position.
  • 6 Months of Patient Care Experience: Previous experience in hospice, home health, ICU, geriatric, or oncology settings is preferred.
  • Flexibility and Compassion: Demonstrate flexibility and composure while supporting patients and families in crisis situations.
