Job Title: Storage Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Engineer to join our team at Insight Global. As a Storage Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and integrating storage infrastructure solutions to meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement storage infrastructure solutions using CISCO UCS X-Series and B-Series, PURE Storage Arrays, and VMware ESXi.
  • Assist in the buildout, operations, and support of VMware ESXi server infrastructure and its components.
  • Perform capacity planning and trend analysis on resource usage for Pure Storage and VMware environments.
  • Participate in the management, monitoring, and optimization of infrastructure resources and hosting facilities.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot storage and virtualization environments, including VMware, CISCO UCS, and PURE Storage.
  • Collaborate with application teams to understand business needs and recommend storage solutions.
  • Act as a reference and resource to Engineering Leadership and Operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Cisco, Pure, and VMware technologies and products.
  • Document all processes, system changes/fixes, and issues.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of Data Center Infrastructure Management experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing Cisco UCS servers (Chassis/Blades), including Intersight and UCS console.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience configuring and managing multiple PURE Storage All Flash Arrays across multiple physical locations.
  • Expertise in VMware products, tools, and server-side infrastructure with 10+ years of VMware experience.
  • Proficient in VMware technologies like vCenter, Update Manager, HA, DRS, Storage DRS, vMotion, Template & Cloning, etc.
  • Experience with replication, high availability, disaster recovery, and immutable storage solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to interact with team members, customers, and managers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification.
  • Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of VMware ESX and related technologies.
  • Experience with managing multiple vCenters.
