Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at UF Health Shands. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide comprehensive psychosocial evaluations, develop treatment plans, and deliver individual, group, and family therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapies to promote patient well-being and recovery
  • Coordinate discharge and follow-up services to ensure seamless transitions
  • Collaborate with other treatment team members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Ensure compliance with Florida Mental Health Law, AHCA, and JCAHO regulations
Requirements
  • Masters degree in nursing, social work, or related field from an accredited university
  • Post-graduate experience in psychiatric treatment preferred
  • Florida license as RN required for qualified RNs with MSN
  • License-eligible for clinical social workers, mental health counselors, marriage or family therapists
