Associate Consultant Job Description

The Associate Consultant plays a vital role in the implementation of end-state solutions for client projects and internal customers. This position involves assisting with the define, design, testing, and execution phases of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Engagement Director and team in ensuring successful onsite project execution.
  • Collaborate with senior consultants to provide advice to clients regarding industry best practices and process methodology.
  • Document design, data mapping, and integrations, including fundamental data requirements.
  • Participate in meetings between project team, end users, and key client contacts.
  • Generate training and education documents, such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and User Guide materials.
  • Assist in analyzing, cleaning, formatting, and summarizing datasets to support design decisions and build/test activities.
  • Support knowledge transfer activities with key client project team members and end users.
  • Provide end user support during go-lives and other hyper-care periods.
  • Communicate and escalate project risks and issues to senior team members.
  • Maintain and update project documentation as needed.
  • Contribute to internal projects to standardize project approaches, methodologies, and templates.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years of direct implementation experience, or 3-7 years of relevant industry or job experience including internships or co-op positions.
  • Experience with data analysis and manipulation.
  • Ability to document procedures and steps for business activities and processes.
  • Comfortable presenting results and summary information to a client-facing audience.
  • Basic understanding of transportation/logistics business operations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and tools.
