We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at Lands' End. As a Carpenter/Wood Shop Associate, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of building and woodworking projects from start-up through completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or building plans to ensure accurate construction.
  • Assess the quality of woodwork and materials needed for completing a job, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with structural designers to plan, layout, and install campus building projects.
  • Conduct repair work and installation of doors, walls, flooring, cabinets, trim, and other fixtures as required.
  • Operate woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools to construct various items.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and established health and safety regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience as a woodworker or carpentry apprenticeship.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work with other woodworkers on various projects.
  • Comfortable using all hand and woodworking power tools.
  • Knowledge of mathematics and basic design principles.
  • Ability to learn new skills as needed.
  • Works well under pressure with tight deadlines while maintaining high standards.
  • Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have the ability and willingness to work in various conditions.
  • Must obtain certification to operate forklifts and all Lands' End motorized vehicles.
  • Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
