We are seeking a growth-minded internal medicine physician to join our team at Care Delivery WA. As a hospitalist physician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to our complex Medicare advantage patients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult medicine, experience with high-acuity care, and a comfort level with prognostication. You will enjoy a schedule of 14-16 shifts/month, including some afternoon swing shifts, but no full overnight shifts.

The Medical Hospitalist Team is well-supported with strong relationships with the ICU, ER, specialists, and hospice. Our team has deep ties to Washington State University and is a training site for the new WSU internal medicine residency program. Teaching is part of the hospitalist role, and there is also an option to work as a virtual hospitalist in our hospital at home model.

The Senior Advantage Clinic plays a vital role in caring for our senior patients as an alternative to hospitalization and offers intensive outpatient treatment. The clinic can handle IV diuresis, IV antibiotics, expedited virtual specialty consultation, imaging, procedures, and more. Residents in the Washington State University IM residency also rotate through the senior advantage clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to complex Medicare advantage patients
  • Work collaboratively with the ICU, ER, specialists, and hospice to ensure seamless care
  • Participate in teaching and training programs for residents and medical students
  • Work as a virtual hospitalist in our hospital at home model

Requirements:

  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Internal Medicine
  • Unrestricted WA State Medical License or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Current WA DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • EMR proficient
  • Ability to work both shifts on a full-time basis
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Self-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed Care experience
  • 1+ years' experience
