We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Financial Analyst to become an integral part of our Trade Finance division. In this pivotal role, you will significantly contribute to our financial planning and month-end closing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass thorough variance analysis between actual results and projections, as well as the preparation and dissemination of financial reports and insights to both business partners and upper management. Your work will focus on detailed analyses of revenue, cost of goods sold, and a comprehensive evaluation of overhead expenses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of revenue forecasts. Actively participate in budget and forecasting discussions, collaborating closely with business partners to collect pertinent financial data and pinpoint financial risks and opportunities.
- Management of Monthly Close Processes: Supervise the monthly closing activities for designated cost centers, including in-depth variance analysis and the formulation of accrual journal entries. Monitor budget discrepancies and provide insightful monthly commentary and reporting, transforming complex data into actionable insights.
- Reporting and Engagement with Stakeholders: Generate and present financial reports and analyses for both internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner. Engage with these stakeholders to explore financial details, offering comprehensive support and clarifications to enhance the decision-making process through in-depth financial insights.
- Process Enhancement and Forecasting: Continuously refine and improve complex forecasting models while seeking opportunities to automate financial processes, thereby increasing efficiency and accuracy in financial projections.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Analytical Skills: Strong expertise in Excel and Excel VBA, along with experience in multidimensional query-driven reporting systems and financial modeling.
- Expertise in Financial Analysis: Proven ability to utilize financial analysis techniques to create accurate forecasts and resolve discrepancies between actual outcomes and projections by identifying key drivers.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional capability to interpret financial data, providing profound insights while summarizing complex findings succinctly as required.
- Adaptability and Prioritization: Ability to excel in a dynamic environment, with a strong focus on problem-solving and effective prioritization of tasks.
- Collaboration and Communication: Outstanding interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated history of effective collaboration and communication across various teams and functions.
Preferred Experience:
- Professional Background: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, analysis, forecasting, and budgeting is essential.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required. A Master's Degree, CPA, or other relevant professional certifications are advantageous.
This position offers a competitive annual salary range of $87,000 - $100,000.
