Job Overview
This role is integral to the Fast-Rising B-Plug (FRBP) Energy Storage System Replacement (ESS-R) initiative within the Ground Mechanical Division, focusing on the procurement of access control technology to support the MMIII weapon system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized guidance and assistance to MMIII program management on all aspects related to ESS throughout the acquisition process.
- Develop and evaluate supplier specifications against system requirements, ensuring supplier product performance meets established standards. Lead or assist in root cause analysis and corrective action processes as necessary.
- Oversee the complete product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with documented engineering methodologies.
- Conduct system engineering tasks, including the formulation and management of systems-level requirements, supporting functional testing and qualification assessments in electronic and environmental laboratories, and offering engineering support for production and depot evaluations, as well as repairs of field returns.
- May be tasked with scheduling, delegating assignments, reporting progress to stakeholders, reviewing the technical quality of deliverables, and ensuring adherence to budget and timelines for the assigned team while coordinating with other departments. May also generate cost estimates and assist in proposal development.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a scientific discipline, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a comparable field.
- Demonstrated experience in a government contracting environment.
- An active U.S. Government Secret security clearance or higher is required.
- Proven track record in facilitating cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, with familiarity in Air Force and government protocols.
- Highly organized with a strong focus on task completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience with Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) systems.
- Proficient in technical writing.
- In-depth knowledge of Critical Path Method and baseline management disciplines.
- Understanding of regulatory and statutory documentation requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in engineering software, technical drawings, and related documentation.
Compensation and Benefits:
The full-time salary range for this position is $156,330. This range is based on market pay structures, but individual salaries are influenced by various factors including business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, along with candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
