Unit Clerk Part Time Weekends Rehab 8th Floor Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Clerk to join our team on the 8th floor of the Rehabilitation Unit. As a Unit Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the unit, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting the nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to the nursing team, including preparing charts, requisitioning supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist with patient-related activities, such as escorting patients to appointments and providing information to visitors.
- Monitor and maintain patient identification on each patient's door and bed, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Prepare and maintain unit records, including admission, transfer, and discharge documents.
- Assist with special procedures, such as arranging for patient transportation and obtaining x-ray films.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to patient and visitor inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other software applications.
