Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to provide optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.
- Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
- Utilize a scientific knowledge base and ongoing growth and learning to provide high-quality patient care.
- Meet standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age-specific competency standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide patient-centered care.
Requirements:
- 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- High Risk hospital experience.
- Strong knowledge of nursing processes and patient care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Schedule:
- Days.
- 36 weekly guaranteed hours.
- May be required to float to other maternal units, PP, and NICU.
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period.
