Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Certified Respiratory Therapist to join our team at HCA Florida Kendall Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and treatment, using various types of oxygen and other therapeutic gas equipment to support patients with respiratory insufficiencies. Your primary responsibilities will include delivering and assessing responses to ordered therapy, measuring ventilator volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis, monitoring and recording patient condition, and performing duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
Responsibilities- Deliver and assess responses to ordered therapy per plan of care, including routine and intensive therapy and diagnostic procedures.
- Measure ventilator volumes, pressures, and blood gas analysis.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition and general acceptance of treatment.
- Perform various duties related to setting up, operating, cleaning, sterilizing, and storing respiratory therapy equipment.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT/RCP) certification.
- Vocational School Graduate.
