Intervention Specialist

Classical Charter Schools of Leland is seeking a dedicated and passionate Interventionist to join our team. As an Interventionist, you will play a vital role in supporting students who require additional academic support.

The Interventionist will provide direct instruction to students in individual and small group settings, supplementing the content teacher to ensure students master the curriculum and achieve passing scores on standardized tests. You will also help students develop skills that contribute to their social development.

• Instruct students in small group settings using content materials provided by academic coaches.
• Use identified needs to guide the learning process toward student achievement of school standards.
• Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects using formal and informal assessment data obtained from students.
• Follow all rules, policies, and procedures of The Roger Bacon Academy, along with state and federal regulations pertaining to school issues.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Assess the accomplishments of intervention students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
• Assist the administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct.
• Counsel with colleagues, students, and/or parents on a regular basis.
• Encourage and reward positive behavior.
• Attend grade level and staff meetings, serve on staff committees, and carry out non-instructional duties as required.

The Interventionist will have the following experience and attributes:

• An Associate's degree or proof of completion of at least two years of college credits in any field is required; focus in education and early childhood development desired.
• Ability to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Ability to perform clerical duties.
• Ability to operate common office machines.
• Ability to maintain basic files and records.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments.
