Responsibilities
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer narcotics and sedatives to patients, maintaining accurate records and ensuring moderate sedation for endoscopic procedures.
  • Quality Improvement: Collect and analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements, enhancing efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Patient Education: Provide educational resources and support to patient families, including referrals and consults, to ensure a comprehensive care plan for patients after procedures.
  • Procedure Support: Assist physicians with patient monitoring, tissue sampling, and removal of polyps, as well as prepare tissue specimens for medical analysis.
  • Infection Control: Maintain a safe and clean environment by identifying and resolving safety hazards, adhering to infection control measures to ensure patient wellness.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the efficient operation of the clinic.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required); Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • Experience: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse and 1 year in a clinical specialty (Required)
  • Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state; BLS (CPR) and ACLS certifications (Required)
