Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at LHC Group.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs related to functional status/mobility, endurance/stamina, pain, and other medical conditions.

You will work with patients to develop and implement treatment plans aimed at improving and enhancing their well-being, and evaluate their progress.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating patient functional status and physical therapy needs
  • Assisting the physician in developing the therapy plan of care
  • Observing and reporting patient response to treatment and any changes in condition to the supervising nurse and/or physician
  • Treating patients to relieve pain, develop and restore function, and/or maintain maximum functioning using acceptable standards of practice
  • Instructing and informing participating members of the healthcare team, the patient, and family/caregivers regarding the plan of care, functional limitations, and progress toward goals

Qualifications

Requirements include:

  • Current Physical Therapy licensure in the state of TN
  • Current CPR certification
  • A current driver's license and vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle
