Position Overview
Are you seeking a nursing role that allows you to enhance your skills, feel appreciated, and positively impact your community? We are looking for a compassionate and collaborative Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver holistic care to patients throughout their healthcare journey, ensuring they feel heard and supported. Our ambulatory LPNs operate under the guidance of Registered Nurses, Advanced Practice Providers, or Physicians, enjoying the autonomy of being the primary nurse for a provider within their scope of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of patients
- Document comprehensive medical histories from patients
- Assist in patient assessments and administer medications or treatments as prescribed
- Provide technical support to healthcare professionals
- Guide patients and families on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse
Qualifications
LPN: Must be a graduate from an accredited practical nursing program.
If the position requires IV therapy skills, candidates must have graduated from a Board-approved program where IV therapy is included in the curriculum or completed an IV Therapy course approved by the relevant nursing board.
Must hold an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and maintain required competencies and certifications.
Medical Assistant: Must be a graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program.
Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
National certification as a Medical Assistant (MA) is required.
Certification obtained through a nationally recognized program for medical assistants is necessary.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six months of employment, with re-certification as needed.
