About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to join our team at Penn State Health. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance department, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and upgrades to our heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air-handling equipment, exhaust fans, variable-air-volume systems, furnaces, crematories, humidifiers, and air filtration equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and inspecting equipment, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with HVAC systems, using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills to resolve problems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of facilities and equipment.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, attending training sessions and workshops as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • HVAC training required.
  • Three (3) years job-related experience in residential or industrial HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical trades required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Operation of tractors, forklifts, bucket trucks, high lifts, and other types of equipment preferred.
  • Universal Refrigeration License and EPA certification preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid training preferred.
  • Industrial HVAC, Plumbing, and Refrigeration experience is preferred.
