Counselor III

The Counselor III plays a vital role in providing comprehensive treatment and support to patients struggling with addiction, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns. This position requires a strong understanding of counseling principles and techniques, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
• Conduct group and family sessions, providing education and support to patients and their loved ones.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and continuum of services.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to patients in need, utilizing de-escalation techniques and other evidence-based strategies.
• Document patient progress and outcomes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and referral sources, facilitating communication and resolving issues as needed.
• Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, participating in ongoing education and training opportunities.

• Bachelor's degree in social or health services field, with 4+ years of experience in counseling; or Bachelor's degree in other field with 6+ years of experience in counseling; or Master's degree in social or health services field, with 2+ years of professional work experience.
• Licensure or certification for counseling may be required by the state in which the facility operates.
• CPR and de-escalation certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
