Job Summary:

The Grants Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the grants process, ensuring the organization secures and maintains financial support from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making institutions. This role plays a critical part in achieving the organization's mission by securing funding opportunities and managing grant proposals, submissions, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify new grant opportunities aligned with the organization's mission and programs.
  • Develop and submit compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and supporting documents.
  • Maintain a grant calendar to track submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and renewal opportunities.
  • Coordinate with program staff, finance, and leadership to gather necessary information for applications and reports.
  • Manage grant budgets and ensure compliance with all grant terms and conditions.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for funders and internal stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective funders.
  • Monitor grant-funded project outcomes and collaborate with program teams to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of all grant activity in the organization's database or tracking system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, public administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in grant writing and management.
  • Strong writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Familiarity with grant reporting and compliance processes.
  • Experience with grants databases or CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Foundation Directory Online) is a plus.
