The Tax Associate is a vital member of our Farm Advisory Services team, responsible for enhancing our clients' financial reporting capabilities. This role involves delivering critical insights for tax, accounting, and business decisions while ensuring adherence to tax regulations. A strong understanding of tax and accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to outstanding customer service are essential for success in this position. The Tax Associate collaborates with accounting professionals, consultants, and various departments to provide customized solutions that address our clients' financial requirements. A proactive mindset and the ability to cultivate relationships with both new and existing clients are key to thriving in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality tax services to foster growth and strengthen customer relationships
  • Utilizing digital tools to enhance the customer experience

Responsibilities Include:

Creating Customer Value

  • Accurately preparing tax returns and other essential documentation
  • Providing exceptional tax and accounting services that enable clients to reach their objectives
  • Contributing to both customer and organizational success through timely and accurate financial services
  • Cross-promoting Farm Credit East services while maintaining proficiency in accounting standards and tax software

Customer Focus

  • Responding promptly to customer inquiries
  • Effectively managing data and dashboards to ensure accuracy
  • Adhering to time and billing practices to maintain transparency

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Agriculture, Agri-Business, Economics, Finance, Business, or a related field
  • Salary range: $53,000 - $80,000, depending on experience
