Payroll Reporting Duties:
The Accountant will be responsible for:
- Preparing quarterly and annual payroll reports, including federal and state filings.
- Financial statement preparation and reconciliations.
- Client interaction regarding QuickBooks and payroll queries.
- Updating asset and depreciation schedules.
- Assisting in the preparation of work papers and journal entries.
Regular communication with supervisors regarding assignments and scheduling is essential, along with the flexibility to work overtime during peak periods.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for CPA certification.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, with QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification viewed as a significant advantage.
- A thorough understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; knowledge of Lacerte tax software is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- The capability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while consistently meeting deadlines.
