Position Overview

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Alliance Precision Plastics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our molded plastic components. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining our high standards of production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret and analyze technical documentation, including specifications and blueprints, to effectively inspect molded plastic parts.
  • Utilize various measuring instruments such as height gauges, calipers, and micrometers to conduct thorough checks and inspections on materials, in-process items, and finished products.
  • Conduct sorting and inspection of production components as necessary, performing both in-process and final audits.
  • Assist in the training of operators regarding quality systems and expectations.
  • Maintain and organize inspection areas within the production environment.
  • Demonstrate comfort and adaptability in a manufacturing setting.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and possess knowledge of OSHA standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all ISO procedures, reporting requirements, and work instructions relevant to the role, including necessary computer usage.
  • Be capable of lifting and moving materials routinely up to 25 pounds, and occasionally up to 35-45 pounds.
  • Work shifts as required, including the possibility of overtime and weekend hours.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED is required, with related technical coursework preferred.
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints effectively.
  • Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  • At least two years of experience in quality assurance or production within the injection molding industry.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Demonstrated excellent attendance in previous roles.
  • High energy and motivation levels are necessary.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to collaborate with diverse individuals in a workplace that values inclusivity.
