Job Responsibilities
As a Production and Inspection Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery, including sanding buffers, a splitter, and embosser, specialty instrumentation (including microscopes) and other test devices for quality control of the product.
You will manufacture parts with all safety, quality, and production best practices and requirements.
You will operate industrial machinery and metrology measurement systems.
You will maintain safety standards at all times and initiate and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
You will use the computer for data entry, MTL, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Logbook, training, non-conforming product, audits, etc.
You will follow and update operating procedures.
You will stand for extended periods of time while working at machines.
You will move rolls/inventory from area to area.
You will perform computer work, printing labels, filling out data in the computer systems.
You will read Standard operating procedures.
You will climb stairs and ladders.
You will work in scissor/Aerial lifts.
You will inspect and operate required testing equipment for product quality.
You will follow all DuPont safety, quality, job, and site policies.
You will rotate through various roles within the area.
You will follow established team standards for cleaning, PMs, and production schedule.
Job Qualifications
We are looking for individuals with good judgment, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
Strong multi-tasking skills are a must.
Good communication, interpersonal, organizational, numerical, and analytical skills are required.
Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools are necessary.
A self-starter who can identify, prioritize, and accomplish multiple tasks with an ability to work with minimal supervision is desired.
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is a plus.
Demonstrated track record of problem-solving using a fundamental approach is desirable.
Must be able to work overtime when required, per business need.
This role is located in Newark, DE and may require less than 5% of travel.
Knowledge and experience with Automated Process Controls (PLC system) is preferred.
A minimum of a High school diploma or GED is required.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) & quality protective equipment including steel toe shoes, gloves, hard hat.
Some positions may require the ability to wear personal protective devices including a full-face respirator.
While performing the duties of this job, various physical requirements include climbing stairs, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and performing overhead work.
Stand for extended periods of time while working at machines.
Lifting > up to 10 lbs. frequently, lifting > 11 to 25 lbs. occasionally, lifting > 26 to 50 lbs. occasionally.
Use of mobile equipment.
Some work requires manual dexterity & repetitive movements of the upper extremities.
Responsible for ensuring, promoting, and working in a clean environment with varying degrees of temperatures, humidity, and Quality Protective Equipment.
