Job Title: Caregiver

At Rosewood Retirement Community, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Provide incontinent care, including changing bedpans and assisting with bowel and bladder functions.
  • Assist residents with mobility and transfer, including walking, standing, and using assistive devices.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident condition, including falls, injuries, or illnesses.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, including laundry, housekeeping, and restocking supplies.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, including setting up trays and feeding residents.
  • Document resident care and services, including vital signs, medication administration, and incident reports.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, including listening to their concerns and validating their feelings.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Long-term healthcare experience preferred, including experience working with seniors and individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand for long periods.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
