Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality diagnostic X-ray imaging
- Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and other stakeholders
- Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them and adjusting equipment controls
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
- Graduate from an X-ray Certified program
- Texas Medical Board and ARRT registration required
- Dependent on experience
