Job Title: Cyber RF Signal Processing Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber RF Signal Processing Engineer to join our team at Research Innovations, Inc. (RII). As a key member of our Cybersecurity research team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing advanced RF signal processing algorithms and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop unique solutions for complex RF signal processing problems
  • Lead and/or participate in technical projects, including communication signal analysis, modeling, and simulation
  • Collaborate with vulnerability researchers and computer network operations (CNO) developers to integrate RF signal processing capabilities into our software solutions
  • Conduct RF analysis and test events to capture and analyze proprietary waveforms
  • Develop and test signal processing algorithms implemented on Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and test RF systems and subsystems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in RF engineering, digital signal processing, and wireless communication theory
  • Experience managing projects, consolidating technical reports, deriving requirements, and prioritizing and delegating technical tasks
  • Hands-on laboratory experience with instrumentation, test equipment, and debug/test methods
  • Experience with common modulation methods, channel coding algorithms, and RF COTS equipment integration
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MATLAB, Octave, and/or Python for signal processing and simulation
  • Knowledge of RF power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, mixers, filters, and signal synthesis
  • Experience with RF link budgets and cascade analysis of gain, noise figure, noise power, intercept point, output power, etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers and lead RF-oriented test activities
