KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Scale, decorate, and produce a variety of desserts, pastries, and cakes.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of production techniques and organization within the confectionery department.
  • Continuously learn new products and techniques, demonstrating skills to fellow team members.
  • Adhere to sanitization protocols and ensure a clean work environment.
  • Manage time effectively while maintaining strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarize yourself with all recipes and production procedures.
  • Ensure that cake displays are visually appealing for customers.
  • Prepare creams and sauces for various desserts.
  • Receive, stock, and store ingredients in an orderly manner.
  • Notify supervisors of any equipment malfunctions and monitor inventory levels.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of food production processes, sanitation, and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays.
  • Familiarity with food labeling and nutrition, including FDA guidelines.
  • Preferred background in Confectionery or Food Studies.
  • Food Handler's Certificate is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Open to feedback for continuous improvement.
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to work with diverse teams.
