Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse administers nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse. This skilled position requires the ability to coordinate and support the activities of certified nurse assistants while actively participating in the direct care of the resident, following specific approaches as stated in the plan of care.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer nursing care to designated residents under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Coordinate and support the activities of certified nurse assistants.
- Participate in the direct care of the resident, following specific approaches as stated in the plan of care.
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School diploma or GED, graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing, and current registration in New York State as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Long-term care experience is preferred, with at least one year of experience in the job to perform in an acceptable manner.
Working ConditionsThis role requires working in a strenuous environment, pushing, lifting residents, and being on your feet most of the day. You may be exposed to disagreeable conditions, including odors, communicable diseases, infections, and injuries from residents or equipment.
Salary InformationThe estimated salary for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 per year, based on location and experience. We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages to our employees.
