Job Title: Analog IC Design Engineer

At Skyworks, we are seeking a highly skilled Analog IC Design Engineer to join our IP development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing analog IP block designs that will be used in most of the cellphones sold today.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop analog IP block designs to meet product design teams' requirements with all necessary collaterals including documentation and integration guides.
  • Update existing IP block designs to serve the needs of various design teams.
  • Spend 50% of your time on direct product development of analog controllers for PA controller, switch and LNA die which are integrated into our RF front-end modules.
Qualifications:
  • BS in Electrical Engineering and 2 years' related experience required; MS in Electrical Engineering + related experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • A positive, can-do attitude.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in designing analog IP blocks: TIA, Bandgap, ADC, DAC, temperature sensor, LDO, and OTP fuse block designs.
  • Fluency in virtuoso design environment from schematic capture to GDSII.
  • Track record of designs that resulted in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Layout floor planning and design experience.
  • Verilog-A modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background designing RF circuits such as LNA or PA.
  • Hands on experience using analog lab equipment.
  • Python programming.
  • Proficiency in on-chip and off-chip isolation techniques to prevent digital interference.

The typical base pay range for this role is $76,100 - $138,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock. These incentives and awards are based on individual and/or company performance.
