Educational Psychologist

About the Position
The Ambridge Area School District seeks an Educational Psychologist to provide psychological services across the district. As a key member of our special education team, you will work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include administering tests, evaluating results, and writing comprehensive evaluation reports. You will also lead IEP teams in identifying student needs and recommending services, consult with teachers on effective interventions, and provide counseling services to students. Additionally, you will collaborate with staff, parents, and community members to create safe and supportive learning environments. Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have a deep understanding of school psychology, special education laws and regulations, and testing protocols. A Master's or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field is required, as well as certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential qualities for this position.
