We are seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to support our research activities in Bondurant, Iowa. The successful candidate will assist in seed packaging and processing, conduct field experiments, and lead tasks to achieve quality results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agriculture, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Participate in seed packaging and processing
• Organize and conduct field experiments, including planting, scouting, spraying, and harvest
• Lead tasks that require completion by other full-time employees and seasonal staff to achieve quality results
• Communicate efficiently and effectively within teams or across the organization
• Operate, adjust, and troubleshoot various agricultural equipment, including planters, sprayers, combines, seed threshers, and seed counters
• Safely transport equipment to internal locations
• Collect and process seed and tissue samples for laboratory and field tests
• Maintain clean and organized facilities, equipment, and instruments
• Adhere to all safety and seed stewardship protocols and expectations
• Conduct projects and tasks as assigned

• Education: Minimum requirement is a high school diploma or GED plus 2 years of relevant experience; advanced degree preferred
• Qualifications/Skills: Ability to carry out assigned tasks, fast learner, follow directions and protocols, and track results; strong customer service, patience, and passion for the work is needed
