We are seeking a dedicated Correctional Healthcare Provider to join our team at the Hill County Sheriff's Office. As a Correctional Healthcare Provider, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to inmates and promoting their overall health and well-being.

Job Description:

Job Summary: Our Correctional Healthcare Provider will work collaboratively with medical staff to ensure that inmates receive timely and effective medical care. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical assessments of inmates, including physical exams and diagnostic testing.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for inmates.
  • Prescribe medication and order medical supplies as necessary.
  • Monitor inmate progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, Nursing, or related field.
  • Current licensure and DEA registration.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BLS certification; hands-on training.
