Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Address the physical, psychosocial, and religious/cultural needs of the patient and family.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team about changes in the patient's condition.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Monitor and report patient progress to the healthcare team.
Requirements:
- Successful completion of the Nursing Diploma Program or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited school.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 6 months of employment.
- A current North Carolina or compact state Registered Nurse license.
- 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
