Procurement Specialist

At First Manufacturing, LLC, we are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for planning and procuring materials and components for our internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtain materials, components, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner using our MRP system and vendor-managed programs.
• Send requests for quote to suppliers in support of new and existing customer quoting activities.
• Participate in planning and scheduling of work orders for assigned customers, aligning customer build plans with overall shop capacity available.
• Maintain data integrity of the MRP system with periodic supplier updates.
• Continuously plan, schedule, and manage materials to optimize inventory total cost and inventory turns.
• Develop and implement programs with customers and suppliers that address lead time, cost reduction, and technical improvements.
• Manage suppliers for assigned customer teams through reporting monthly on-time delivery and quality, periodic business reviews with key suppliers, and supplier onsite audits.
• Optimize purchasing to increase favorable purchase price variance and make sourcing decisions using total cost of ownership methods.
• Provide support and guidance to team members and other departments as required.
