Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.

The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.

The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
  • Meet and maintain any requirements defined by specific specialty.
  • Provide patient care that is individualized, holistic, and culturally sensitive.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices.
Requirements
  • 18 months of recent bedside RN experience.
  • Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • RN-Associate's Degree, RN-Bachelor's Degree, RN-Diploma, or RN-Master's Degree.
