The Flex Triage Response Registered Nurse provides skilled professional nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers as prescribed by physicians and in compliance with regulations established by the State Board of Registered Nursing, the patient, and the policies of Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN).
Responsibilities:- Provide skilled professional nursing care to patients, families, and caregivers.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, support staff, and an interdisciplinary team to determine the appropriate plan of care for patients and families.
- Comply with accepted professional standards and principles.
- Understand hospice philosophy, principles of death and dying.
- Comply with Bluegrass Care Navigators (BCN) Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.
- Have satisfactory references from nursing school, previous or current employers, and/or professional peers.
- Be a graduate of an accredited school of professional (registered) nursing.
- Be currently licensed as an RN through the State Board of Nursing.
- Have at least one year of general nursing experience, preferably with current hospice, home health, medical, surgical, or critical care experience.
- Be skilled in nursing practice, able to cope with family emotional stress and grief, and familiar and accepting of different cultures and lifestyles.
- Be willing to take patient assignments per the needs of the regional office or department on any given day.
- Have strong critical thinking skills and be accustomed to providing care in the home setting autonomously.
- Be able to work collaboratively with a variety of healthcare professionals, support staff, and an interdisciplinary team.
