Key Responsibilities

The Private Equity Middle Office team is dedicated to managing operational and funding activities associated with all private equity investment strategies. This includes coordinating deal closings, asset setup, servicing, and cash management.

The Associate role within the Middle Office team involves direct collaboration with investment professionals, Investment Accounting, Treasury Operations, Legal, and external stakeholders to ensure the effective handling of private equity transactions from funding through to exit. The Associate will also engage with fellow Middle Office team members to oversee daily operational functions.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Advancing best practices across middle office support processes while gaining insights into private equity investment strategies (primary, secondary, co-investments, and growth equity).
  • Setting up and maintaining asset-level reference data.
  • Enhancing the quality and accessibility of asset-level data.
  • Managing daily communications and reporting with fund administrators.
  • Reviewing, reconciling, and monitoring asset setup, valuations, and transaction activities recorded by our administrators.
  • Assisting with internal valuation and data capture processes for our investments.
  • Actively participating in the deal closing process, focusing on the setup and execution of closing wire transfers.
  • Compiling regular and ad-hoc reports for investment teams, clients, and management.
  • Creating efficiencies between front and back office processes to eliminate redundancies and streamline operations.
  • Supporting and managing strategic initiatives related to technology and process enhancements, including providing specifications for developers, conducting UAT testing, and promoting upgrades to our production environment.
  • Becoming an internal expert on end-to-end operational processes and serving as a valuable resource to the firm.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a self-disciplined individual who demonstrates innovative thinking and possesses the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Financial Services.
  • Familiarity with private equity asset classes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; VBA expertise is advantageous.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
