Job Title: Surgical Technician

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician at HexaQuEST Health, Inc. plays a vital role in the operating room, providing technical support to surgeons, RNs, and anesthetists. This position requires a high level of aseptic practice, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist surgeons, RNs, and anesthetists during surgical procedures
  • Arrange and maintain a sterile environment, including supplies and instruments
  • Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
  • Help apply dressings and prepare specimens for testing
  • Operate sterilizers and run testing to validate and verify sterilization of surgical instruments and supplies
  • Clean and decontaminate surgical instruments after use
  • Check instruments before and after cases for proper working condition and sterility

Requirements:

  • Certified Surgical Technician (CST) with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Registered as a Surg Tech with the State of Colorado
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Working Conditions:

The Surgical Technician will work in a fast-paced operating room environment, with moderate to high stress levels. The position requires long periods of standing, walking, and heavy lifting, as well as exposure to blood and body fluids.
