Job Summary:

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and medications according to established protocols and regulations.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with image quality.

Requirements:

  • Current State of Maine License for Radiological Technology/Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Proficiency in a suite of Microsoft Office applications.
